Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday evening accused Manohar Parrikar of blackmailing the Narendra Modi government over the Rafale deal. The Congress president was referring to an audio clip, which was released by the Congress party earlier in the day in which Goa health minister Vishwajit Rane can purportedly be heard as saying that Manohar Parrikar has "all the Rafale files in his bedroom and is holding the government to ransom".
During a press briefing after the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day, the Congress president also took a dig at Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for questioning the Congress's "understanding of the arithmetic of money".
