PM Modi takes a holy dip in Sangam at Kumbh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday offered prayers and took holy dip at the Sangam -- the holy confluence of the sacred Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Sarawasti rivers -- soon after he launched the government's ambitious income-transfer scheme.

He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Mahendra Nath Pandey.

PM Modi later performed the 'aarti' and interacted with the priests who conducted the puja.
