Pakistan betrayed both Atal ji and India: Rajnath Singh on 20 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas

As the nation celebrates 20 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Rajnath Singh, in his first interview after taking over as defence minister, shared with India Today how Pakistan had betrayed both Atal ji and India then.

Recalling how then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee wanted good relations with all neighbours, Singh said," Vajpayee ji used to say that friends change but neighbors don't. And with this thought, he wanted good relations with all our neighbours. If you go through history, you will find that India never attacked any county first and never captured an inch of land. Atal ji trusted them and Pakistan betrayed both Atal ji and India."
