Nirbhaya case: Convict Pawan's plea dismissed, hanging to take place tom.?

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the curative petition filed by Pawan Gupta, a convict in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case. He had moved the Supreme Court with a curative petition to challenge the death sentence awarded to him.

In his petition, Pawan has claimed that he was a juvenile at the time of the crime in 2012 and that the lower courts had ignored this fact. Besides this, he argued that his death sentence should be commuted to life imprisonment because he was a minor at the time of the crime.
