National Education Policy driven by RSS agenda, needs to be scrapped: Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has defended the scrapping of the National Education Policy (NEP), claiming that it is driven by an RSS agenda. Siddaramaiah’s Congress party had promised the same before it came to power in Karnataka this year. Meanwhile, BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday appealed to Siddaramaiah to reconsider his decision. Bommai said the Siddaramaiah government would be doing a disservice to the children of Karnataka by abolishing the NEP. The NEP draft brought out by the Centre was approved by Siddaramaiah during his previous tenure, the BJP leader said.
