Modi govt approves 10 per cent reservation for economically weaker upper castes

The Narendra Modi government today approved a 10 per cent reservation for economically backward upper castes in government jobs. A proposal for 10 per cent reservation for economically weaker upper castes was approved by the Union cabinet today.
This is clearly a bid to please the upper caste as well.
The Modi government will now move a constitutional amendment bill tomorrow. As per the experts, the step can be a game changer in the coming elections.
