Mayawati pays homage to slain Tamil Nadu BSP chief K Armstrong

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Sunday reached Chennai to pay homage to state party chief K Armstrong, who was hacked to death near his residence on July 5. She also met the family members of the slain BSP Tamil Nadu chief. She also demanded that the state government provide security to the family of K Armstrong and extend all kinds of assistance for them to stay without fear for their lives.

Mayawati urged the MK Stalin government to safeguard the rights of the underprivileged people of the state. Meanwhile, the BSP chief accused the Tamil Nadu government of not being serious about the investigation into the murder of state party chief K Armstrong. She also demanded the state government to hand over the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
