Manish Sisodia walks out of jail to 'Bharat Mata ki Jai, Inquilab Zindabad' chants

AAP leader Manish Sisodia, who was granted bail by the Supreme Court today in the excise policy cases, walked out of Delhi's Tihar Jail this evening amid chants of 'Inquilab zindabad', 'Bharat Mata ki jai'. He was welcomed by AAP leaders and workers.

The Supreme Court granted bail to Manish Sisodia in the corruption and money laundering cases, registered by the CBI and the ED, respectively, on a personal bond of Rs 10 lakh with two sureties of the like amount.

The bench said Sisodia has been in custody for 17 months and trial has not yet commenced, depriving him of the right to speedy trial.
