The ABVP and Akshat Awasthi, the man who confessed his role in the JNU violence on January 5 in an India Today sting operation, have disowned each other. However, India Today has dug out a video in which Akshat Awasthi is seen in an ABVP rally against the central HRD ministry.
The footage excavated from available online sources depicted scores of slogan-shouting protesters holding ABVP placards on November 21 to oppose the JNU's proposed hostel fee hike.
