SC orders status quo in Jahangirpuri anti-encroachment drive, halts bulldozers

The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered a status quo, thus effectively stopping the anti-encroachment drive by Delhi civic authorities in violence-hit Jahangirpuri area. The top court has agreed to hear a petition challenging the action of the civic bodies allegedly aimed against the riot accused.
