House arrest of activists to continue for four more weeks, says Supreme Court
New Delhi,UPDATED: Sep 28, 2018 12:01 IST
A majority opinion on the Supreme Court bench of CJI Dipak Misra, Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud has refused to interfere in the arrests of the five rights activists. The Maharashtra Police has been allowed to go ahead with the arrests of the five activists and its investigation into the Bhima-Koregaon case.
The activists will remain under house arrest for four more week and can apply for bail in the trial court.
