We are fully prepared to tackle cyclone Tauktae, says NDRF DG SN Pradhan

Cyclone Tauktae has intensified from very severe storm over eastcentral Arabian Sea to an "extremely severe" cyclonic storm. To deal with the situation arising out of impact of cyclonic storm, 54 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed in Gujarat. NDRF teams have also been stationed in Mumbai at Juhu Beach, Chowpatty Beach, Aksa Beach and Versova Beach. Very heavy rains are predicted at isolated places in Mumbai as Cyclone Tauktae moves to Gujarat coast while passing from Mumbai.

NDRF DG SN Pradhan in an interview with India Today TV said, "We are fully prepared to tackle cyclone Tauktae."
