Flood fury claimed 46 lives in Uttarakhand, hundreds of houses were damaged , roads washed away, bridges collapsed in many places. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit the state today to take stock of the situation and relief operations.

The Indian Army, along with the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) have been pressed into action to carry out relief and rescue operations in affected areas.
