As the political parties across India demanded the government to clarify on the security advisory in the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Governor Satya Pal Malik on Saturday dismissed it, saying there was "nothing to worry about". Satya Pal Malik also asserted that the "situation in Kashmir is normal".
However, the actions in the state imply the other way round. The Union government's decision to rush additional 10,000 troops in the Valley in the last week of July and the hovering threat over the state's special status has directed at escalated tensions across Kashmir.
