The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is questioning National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah in connection with the multi-crore Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association scam. The questioning is in connection with alleged misappropriation of Rs 43 crore when Farooq Abdullah was the chairman of J&K Cricket Association, the sources said. The questioning on Monday is taking place in Srinagar and is based on bank documents, sources added.
On ED questioning former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti also took to Twitter and wrote, "EDâs sudden summon to Farooq sahab displays the extent of GOIs nervousness about mainstream parties in J&K fighting as one unit. Also reeks of political vendetta & won't in the least blunt our collective resolve to fight for our rights."
