Economy would have collapsed if there was no demonetisation: S Gurumurthy

RBI board member and RSS ideologue S Gurumurthy said Indian economy would have collapsed if demonetisation had not taken place.

Speaking on the Day 2 of the India Today Conclave, Gurumurthy said, "Actually, demonetisation was not only necessary, had demonetisation not taken place, the economy would have collapsed like the American economy, which very nearly collapsed in 2008."
