Detain farmers, MSP on sunflower seed: Farmers reach Kurukshetra to hold Mahapanchyat

 

Farmers with their tractors on the roads of Kurukshetra as they gather here to hold Mahapanchyat over their demand for Minimum Support Price for sunflower seed. Amid reports that farmers blocked the highway to the national capital, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said, "We are not blocking the highway. It is not right, highways should not be blocked."

"We have only two demands, release the farmers who were detained and start purchasing sunflower seeds at MSP. We are ready to hold discussions with the government," he added.
