Cyclone Tauktae: PM Modi dials CMs of Gujarat, Goa to take stock of preparations 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dialed the chief ministers of Gujarat, Goa and the LG of Daman & Diu to take stock of the preparations to deal with Cyclone Tauktae.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that Cyclone Tauktae has now intensified into an "extremely severe cyclonic storm". It is likely to reach Gujarat coast by today evening and cross the state coast between 8 pm and 11 pm.

Meanwhile, Gujarat, Goa, Maharastras and Daman & Diu are on high alert and people have advised not to venture out.
