As novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 250 after 50 more people were infected with the fast-spreading virus in various parts of the country, an expert explains why social distancing is important right now.

"Everyone needs to take social distancing very seriously and if you value the life of elderly then please follow it," Professor Ramanan Laxminarayan, Director, Center for Disease Dynanmics, Economics and Policy, said in an exclusive interview to India Today.
