Coronavirus hits business in India, markets gain slightly after sharp fall

The markets reopened at 10.20 am on Friday after being halted for 45 minutes in the morning. The made a slight gain but continued to trade in red. Investor wealth worth nearly Rs 12 lakh crore was wiped off in less than 15 minutes of trade opening, with benchmarks crashing over 10 per cent on mounting fears over coronavirus pandemic. Trading was halted for 45 minutes in early session after the index hit its lower circuit limit.
