With Karnataka set to go to the elections later this year, India Today spoke to president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee D K Shivakumar, who hit out at the ruling BJP government in the state. He attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to visit Karnataka, stating why the PM did not visit the state when it was struggling with Covid-19 or droughts. D K Shiva Kumar also accused the Basavaraj Bommai-led Karnataka government of massive corruption and said the CM is grappling with the aftershocks of the MLA scandal that has surfaced in the state. D K Shiva Kumar expressed confidence that the Congress would win the Karnataka elections and that only the Grand Old Party can take the nation forward.
