It was a high-decibel election campaign in Karnataka today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi leading the charge for their parties. Both addressed rallies in Hyderabad Karnataka, the north-eastern part of the state with 23 per cent area and 40 Assembly seats.
The two leaders engaged in a war of words charging at each other in a no-holds-barred manner. Rahul Gandhi addressed four rallies in Karnataka today - at Aurad, Bhalki, Humnabad and Bidar, all in Bidar district in Hyderabad Karnataka region. PM Modi addressed three rallies at Kalaburagi in Gulbarg, Ballari (previously spelt as Bellary) - both in Hyderabad Karnataka region - and Bengaluru North.
