BSF detains intruder at India-Pak border in Punjab, Pakistani currency recovered

On 7th September, the Border Security Force detained a Pakistani national near the International Border in Tehsil Suchetgarh, Jammu. The individual, identified as Siraj Khan from Sargodha, Pakistan, was observed crossing the border and aggressively approaching the fence. According to a BSF press release, troops issued warnings which were ignored. Sensing a threat, the troops fired before taking him into custody. Pakistani currency was recovered from his possession. Khan has since been handed over to the local police, and a protest has been lodged with Pakistani counterparts. A multi-agency interrogation involving the BSF, IB, and Military Intelligence is currently underway to determine the purpose of the intrusion.
