Bengal: Over 300 villages in Hooghly district affected by flood

Massive floods have left people scrambling for help in West Bengal's Hooghly district. Over 300 villages across the Hooghly district have been affected by the flood fury. NDRF and IAF teams are carrying out rescue operations in the district.

Meanwhile, amid the deluge, PM Modi today spoke to Bengal CM Mamata on the flood situation caused by water discharge from dams in parts of the state and assured full support.
