Assam coal mine tragedy: Death toll rises to three as rescue efforts continue

Rescue teams recovered the bodies of two additional workers from a flooded 'rat hole' coal mine in Assam's Dima Hasao district on Saturday, as the death toll mounts to three. The recovery comes as rescue operations entered their sixth day, officials confirmed. Efforts continue to locate and rescue any remaining trapped workers. Efforts to drain the 340-foot-deep quarry have been underway since Thursday, utilising specialised equipment provided by ONGC and Coal India.
