Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu held a meeting on Thursday for 'better coordination' between the state government and the ruling party.
Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was recently apponited as the president of Punjab Congress, has been at loggerheads with Amarinder Singh over a host of issues. Earlier, it was reported that Amarinder Singh opposed to the appointment of Sidhu as the Punjab Congress chief. However, Amarinder Singh was present during the elevation ceremony of Navjot Singh Sidhu. It signalled truce in the dissension-driven party which faced the challenge of retaining Punjab in election five months from now.
