A key accused in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, has been arrested by US authorities from Los Angeles. Tahawwur Rana is a wanted accused by the India government which has been trying to extradite him from the US.
Rana, who was in a US prison for the past ten years on charges of providing material support to Pakistani terrorist groups, was released from Terminal Island Prison in Southern California after he had filed an application that he tested positive for Covid-19, almost one and half years before his jail term. However, the authorities placed him under arrest on charges that he is facing extradition from India in a terror case. India Today has learnt that the Indian government is keeping a close eye on the developments and will push for early extradition of Rana to face trial.
