West Bengal election dates out: Voting to be held in 8 phases from March 27 till April April 29

Election to the 294-member West Bengal assembly will be held in eight phases. Last time, the assembly elections were conducted in seven phases. A total of 68 seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes and 16 for the Scheduled Tribes.

Term of the current West Bengal assembly is scheduled to come to an end on May 30. Voting for the first phase of the 2021 West Bengal election will be held on March 27 and for the last (eighth phase on April 27).
