Tamil Nadu is most Hinduised state in India, says S Gurumurthy

Speaking at the India Today Conclave South 2021, political expert Swaminathan Gurumurthy said that contrary to popular belief Tamil Nadu was the most Hinduised state in India. However, Hinduism in Tamil Nadu was limited to culture, beliefs, and superstitions, he said, adding that it would be a challenge for the BJP to translate this culture Hindusim into a political one. The remark came in answer to a question about the chances of the BJP making inroads into Tamil politics on the back of the Hindutva agenda.
