Rahul Gandhi files nomination from Raebareli

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today filed his nomination papers from Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli constituency. He was accompanied by Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other Congress leaders. 

Earlier in the day, the Congress announced its candidates for Amethi and Raebareli. Congress fielded Rahul Gandhi from Raebareli and Kishori Lal Sharma from Amethi.

Both Amethi and Raebareli have been Congress bastions. Rahul Gandhi lost the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Amethi to BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani.
