Assam election: CM Sonowal evades question on EVM controversy

When asked about the EVM controversy, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal avoided giving any direct answers. Instead, he told India Today that the BJP-led alliance will definitely win the election.

After the second phase of polling in Assam was completed on Thursday, an unattended electronic voting machine was found in a vehicle owned by BJP candidate Krishnendu Paul. The Election Commission has ordered fresh voting at that polling station and four officials have been suspended.
