Decoding the auto sector crisis

The auto sector is facing its worst crisis in 19 years. The auto industry had seen such a slump in 2000. Meanwhile, the data for July shows an overall de-growth of more than 18% in auto industry. On the jobs front, the industry has lost 2.30 lakh jobs in the sector, 3000 dealerships have shut down while 1 million jobs are at stake.
