Hours after six simultaneous and coordinated explosions rocked churches and luxury hotels rocked Sri Lanka's Colombo on Easter Sunday, two more blasts hit the capital city, killing two people, police said.
The seventh blast occurred at a hotel near Dehiwala Zoo and the eighth explosion was reported from a housing complex in Colombo. The death toll in the Sri Lanka serial blasts has reached 187.
At least two people have reportedly died in the latest blast at a hotel, a police spokesperson said. The injured have been taken to Kalubowila Hospital.
The hotel is said to be in close proximity to the zoo which was closed for the public after the serial blasts. This was the eighth blast that has taken place in Sri Lanka's Colombo on Sunday.
