10 killed, over dozen injured in Islamabad blast

At least 10 people have been killed and over a dozen people are reportedly injured following a blast outside the Imambara compound in Islamabad. The attack occurred at a Shia mosque in the Tarlai Canal area of Shahzad Town during Friday prayers, a time when a large number of worshippers had gathered. Local reports indicate that over 80 people have been injured, with many in critical condition. The explosion ripped through the religious center of the minority community, prompting an emergency alert across all nearby medical facilities. The incident highlights the rising militancy and history of sectarian conflict within the region.
