Just when fans thought they had seen it all, Bad Bunny shocked the world by officiating a real wedding live during the Super Bowl held at Levi’s Stadium in California, turning the halftime show into a celebration of love and music.

The Puerto Rican rapper, born Benito Antonio Martnez Ocasio, made history on Sunday night as the first male solo Latin artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show and the first performer to deliver the entire set exclusively in Spanish.

But it wasn’t just the language or the music that set social media buzzing. Midway through the performance, Bad Bunny stunned viewers by hosting a real wedding live on the field.

Take a look:

Roughly five minutes into the set, cameras cut to a couple dressed in white, standing before a justice of the peace. Moments later, they were pronounced married and sealed the moment with a kiss as fireworks, music, and choreography swirled around them.

The scene initially left audiences wondering if it was theatrical flair. It wasn’t. A representative for Bad Bunny later confirmed to Variety that the ceremony was entirely genuine.

According to reports, the couple had invited the artist to perform at their wedding. Instead, Bad Bunny flipped the script, suggesting they exchange vows during the halftime show itself.

The performance seamlessly transformed into a wedding-party celebration, complete with dancers, confetti, and a surprise appearance by Lady Gaga, who joined in with a salsa-inspired rendition of Die With a Smile.

Social media erupted almost instantly. Fans on X described the moment as “iconic,” “pure cinema,” and one of the most emotionally resonant halftime shows in recent memory.

Viewed by millions globally, the Super Bowl is as much about entertainment as it is about American football. This year, Bad Bunny’s halftime show became a viral sensation as he turned the performance into an historic celebration, from being the first solo Latin headliner performing in Spanish to staging a real on-field wedding with Lady Gaga joining the party, making it one of the most talked-about halftime shows ever.
