Kavita-Ronnit to Vatsal-Ishita: A year of hush-hush weddings in telly town

While 2016 was all about big-fat lavish telly weddings, in 2017 a host of TV celebs opted for secret ceremonies. Take a look.

Vatsal Sheth and Ishita Dutta: Haasil actor Vatsal Sheth got married to his former co-star Ishita Dutta in Novemeber in a secret ceremony at Mumbai's Iskcon temple. The wedding was attended by only close friends and family of the couple. The two were rumoured to be dating for a long time but they never made their relationship official. Apart from friends, Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn, Sunny Deol and Bobby were also present.

Vatsal and Ishita first met on the sets of Rishton Ka Saudagar Baazigar, and fell in love soon after. They, however, could not make it official because of the no-dating clause in their contract. The two maintained they were good friends. Vatsal had also saved Ishita from a mishap on the sets of Firangi, and in a true Bollywood style, they fell in love post the incident.

Kavita Kaushik and Ronnit Biswas: In January, F.I.R actress Kavita Kaushik tied the knot with beau Ronnit Biswas in a low-key wedding in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. The wedding was an intimate affair with total of 15 guests gracing the occasion, including Kavita's close friend actress Aashka Goradia and her American beau Brent Goble. Kavita chose Himalayas as her wedding destination because both she and Ronnit are very fond of Shiva.

Narayani Shastri and Steven Graver: While Narayani got married to Stever Graver aka Tony, a British national 1.5 years back, she broke the news only this year in March. She kept the news under wraps because her husband Tony is media shy.

Sangram Singh and Gurkiran Kaur: Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Sangram Singh tied the knot with Gurkiran Kaur in a traditional Sikh wedding in Amritsar in presence of close friends and family members in December. The actor, who plays Ashok on the popular Ekta Kapoor show, got engaged in November and broke the news on social media.

Pooja Singh and Kapil Chhattani: Diya Aur Baati Hum's Emily tied the knot with long-time beau Kapil Chattani, a software engineer in a close-knit ceremony in Jamshedpur on December 5. The wedding was attended by close friends from the industry and family members.

Panchi Bora and Jaydeep: The Kayamath actress tied the knot with Jaydeep in January this year in a low-key ceremony. It was an arranged marriage for the TV actress.

Siddhanth Suryavanshi and Alesia Raut: Waaris actor Siddhaanth Surryavanshi exchanged wedding vows with supermodel Alesia Raut in Mumbai's Iskon temple in November. The couple got engaged in April. The actor, who made his TV debut with Kasautii Zindagii Kay, changed his name to Siddhaanth Surryavanshi last year.
