In the 1st T20I match, he scored 60 runs off 40 deliveries and also bowled an economical spell of 2 overs where he gave away just 9 runs and picked up a wicket. In the 2nd T20I he hammered 63 runs off 32 balls and yet again helped India chase down the 173-run target in the 16th over itself and in the bowling department, he may have gone a bit expensive, conceding 36 runs in 3 overs, but yet again managed to chip in with a wicket. With these performances, he is being touted as a backup option for the injured Hardik Pandya.
