As the mercury rises, water crisis has hit several parts of country. In Chennai, due to deficit rainfall last year, several water reservoirs have dried up leading to water woes in the city.

Chennai currently receives 550 million litres of water every day against the required 800 million litres a day.

Water woes are not just restricted to Chennai. People in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and in other states too are facing water shortage.
