Actor Dileep's fall from grace: Misogyny and mafia in Mollywood?

After Mollywood superstar Dileep was arrested for abduction of a Kerala actress, he has decided to move the Kerala High Court.

Dileep's involvement in this entire episode, whether there was a money transaction and what amount was transacted for the conspiracy, call records between Dileep and the main accused Pulsar Soni - are all angles that will be looked into carefully during the investigation.

With his alleged involvement in the Kerala actress abduction case and subsequent arrest, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists removed him from its primary membership and expelled him from the post of treasurer. The Kerala Film Producers Association as well as the Film Employees Federation of Kerala also expelled the actor.

Reacting to the development, activist Rahul Easwar has said, "Actor Dileep is maintaining even right now that he is innocent. We are all waiting for the court's response on the issue."
