Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan described the action as 'bulldozer justice', drawing a response from Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, who defended the removal of what he termed illegal encroachments. 

Meanwhile, TVK chief Vijay has lashed out at the Tamil Nadu government over the attack on a migrant worker. TVK has issued a statement in which they said that the incident has led to fear and shock across the state.
