The BCCI selectors on Monday announced 16-member squads for the ODI series against Australia and the limited-overs tour of New Zealand early next year with some notable inclusions in both teams.
MS Dhoni was recalled into the T20I side for the New Zealand series while Hardik Pandya found a place in all three squads.
Rishabh Pant was ignored from the ODI side but has been included in the T20I side while Manish Pandey was also axed from the ODI squad after warming the bench against West Indies.
After the conclusion of the ongoing four-test series against Australia, India will play a three-match one-day international series against the same opponents in January.
That will be followed by a five-match ODI series in New Zealand before India return home for another five-match ODI series against Australia.
