Dragon provokes through diplomacy, media, military: China back to warmongering?

China has warned India of a long-term confrontation all along the border if the latter doesn't withdraw its troops at Doklam with immediate effect.

Back to warmongering, Beijing has blamed the standoff over Doklam as New Delhi's fault.

China has called for an "immediate withdrawal" of Indian troops at Doklam "to avoid escalation", as it briefed foreign diplomatic missions in China on the stand-off at the tri-junction.

Former Foreign Secretary Kanwal Sibal said, "China's own credibility is very low. The ASEAN countries, China's neighbours have seen what China what it has done in the South China Sea. China is now being seen as an overtly assertive state to the extent that even the European Union is beginning to feel concerned. China must stop building the road. Then all the confrontation will end."

"The responsibility of avoiding the conflict rests squarely on China's shoulders because they have changed the status quo", he added.

Former Army Commander of Northern Command Lieutenant General (retired) BS Jaswal said, "This provocation is nothing but an approach of hegemony on China's part and it is purely a psychological warfare. China cannot afford to go to war with India."
