UPSC opposes pre-arrest bail to Puja Khedkar; Sourav Ganguly to join Kolkata protest

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opposed the anticipatory bail plea of former IAS trainee Puja Khedkar in the Delhi High Court. The UPSC contends that custodial interrogation is essential to fully unravel the conspiracy and fraud she allegedly orchestrated and to identify any accomplices involved.

Doctors continue to protest and will hit the streets of Kolkata. Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly will join the 'Justice for Abhaya' protests on Wednesday. Ganguly, who previously called for a swift investigation, emphasized the alarming frequency of such cases in the country. He will be joined by his wife, Dona Ganguly, as they march to demand justice for the victim.
