BJP compares Rahul Gandhi to Mir Jafar; Hunt for Amritpal Singh enters 4th day; more

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Tuesday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and called him the "present-day Mir Jafar of Indian Polity". He also asked the Wayanad MP to apologize for his remarks in the UK.

"Rahul Gandhi will have to apologize in Parliament. He always defames the nation. He is the present-day Mir Jafar of Indian Polity," Sambit Patra was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. 

Meanwhile, the Punjab Police's crackdown on Khalistani separatist Amritpal Singh entered the fourth day but the Waris Punjab de chief is still on the run. So far, six FIRs have been registered, 114 people arrested, and ten weapons and 430 cartridges recovered in the action against Waris Punjab De. The source of funds for Amritpal Singh's group is also being looked at.
