Storm over Andhra temple vandalism, heat on CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

TDP national president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu questioned the ruling YSRP over the vandalism of a 400-year-old temple in Vizhinagaram and questioned why the government has failed to take immediate action in the Ramatheertham desecration incident. He also called CM YS Jagan Reddy a "Christian CM" while the YSRCP chief hit back saying these are ploys employed to divert attention from the government's welfare work. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has hinted at political conspiracy and has ordered a CID probe.

A massive political storm has erupted over the attack on the 400-year-old Ramatheertham temple in Andhra Pradesh. The temple was attacked on December 29. Following the vandalism at the Ramateertham temple, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu arrived in the city to visit the site. Opposition parties have condemned the attack, demanding the government to take action against the culprits.
