Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli loses trust vote in Parliament; BJP blames Delhi govt for oxygen crisis; more

Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli lost a trust vote in the House of Representatives on Monday, in a fresh setback to the embattled premier seeking to tighten his grip on power after the CPN (Maoist Centre) led by Pushpakamal Dahal “Prachanda” withdrew support to his government. Prime Minister Oli secured 93 votes in the lower house of parliament during a special session convened on the directives of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

In the other story, BJP has alleged that the Delhi government was responsible for the “unparalleled Covid-19 crisis” in the city and demanded that a case of criminal negligence be filed against the Arvind Kejriwal-led government. Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta claimed that the Centre had warned Delhi of a major second wave of the pandemic as early as October 2020.
