Nawazuddin Siddiqui raises questions about Bollywood's racism, Kaabil to have a Hollywood remake

Bollywood's age-old "all is fair" mantra reared its ugly head once again, as one of India's finest and most versatile actors, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, took to Twitter and hit out at the deep-rooted bias against dark in the film industry.

It all began when casting director Sanjay Chouhan, who worked on Nawazuddin's upcoming release, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, said in an interview that he couldn't cast "fair and handsome" people with the actor.

Chouhan's statement suggests that even in 2017, actors are cast based on their skin tone rather than their performances.

Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan's last release, Kaabil, might just get a global audience. The makers of the revenge drama have reportedly been approached by 20th Century Fox for procuring the film's remake rights. In fact the film's director, Sanjay Gupta, has confirmed that the studio is in talks with Hrithik for a possible Hollywood remake of the film.

All this and more, on this episode of In Da Club.
