Army chief in Srinagar today to review security situation

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat will on Friday visit Srinagar for the first time after the abrogation of Article 370 provisions for Jammu and Kashmir. The Army chief will review the security situation and preparedness of security forces in the Kashmir Valley in the wake of an increase in ceasefire violations.

Strict restrictions continue in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir ahead of pre-mediated Friday protests.
