With festivities around the corner, optimism is returning to Indian markets. Gaurav Sharma, Head of Research at Globe Capital, said, “Most of the red flags are behind us now. As we head towards Diwali, the stage is set for further upmove. GST cuts are already in place, and a 1% repo rate cut could translate into profits. The next two quarters look more promising than the past ones.”
Sharma added that global volatility, particularly statements from US President Trump, remains a headwind. He expects HCL Technologies, which will report quarterly results today, to deliver neutral numbers that are unlikely to negatively impact the market, allowing a pullback rally to continue.
Astha Jain, Senior Research Analyst at HEM Securities, said both primary and secondary markets are active, highlighting listings like Tata Capital. She noted healthcare stocks such as Dr Lal Path Labs and Thyrocare are attracting investor interest.
Sharma also pointed out the ongoing festive season and upcoming wedding season will boost demand for cosmetics and e-commerce. “Nykaa remains a very attractive stock, while Zomato continues to see strong demand,” he said.
With IT stocks showing steady performance, selective retail, healthcare, and IT counters are likely to attract attention in the coming weeks, said experts.
