Vishwaroopam 2 to 2.0: Sequels to look forward to in 2018

It looks like the second half of 2018 will see the release of Tamil sequels. From Vishwaroopam 2 to Nadodigal 2, many hit films have sequels lined up for release. Actor-director Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 is a continuation of the blockbuster Vishwaroopam which released in 2013. It tracks the story of RAW agent Wisam Ahmed Kashmiri.

Though Shankar's 2.0 will have Chitti Robo as the hero, the story won't be a continuation of Endhiran. According to Shankar, 2.0 has a global message.

After 15 years, director Hari has come up with a sequel to his superhit cop film Saamy, which starred Vikram and Trisha in the lead roles. The sequel will see Vikram in two roles. He will be romancing Keerthy Suresh and Aishwarya Rajesh in the film.

Sandakozhi, directed by Lingusamy, was a landmark film in Vishal's career. Instead of Meera Jasmine, actress Keerthy Suresh will play the lead in Sandakozhi 2, which will grace the screens on October 18 this year.

Balaji Mohan's Maari 2 starring Dhanush and Kajal Aggarwal was hailed as one of the best commercial films of Dhanush. The sequel has an ensemble cast comprising Sai Pallavi, Tovino Thomas, Krishna and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

Samuthirakani's Nadodigal was one of the best buddy flicks of all time. Its sequel of the same name has Sasikumar, Anjali, Bharani and Athulya Ravi playing the lead roles.
